Contend for the Faith [A study of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John & Jude]
It’s the turn of the second century, approx. 100 A.D., and the Church’s earliest original elders have passed away. Letters from Paul, Peter, and John have circulated throughout Asia Minor to the different local churches, and have been largely encouraging. However, no one alive can remember meeting Paul; and even John, the beloved disciple of Christ who had outlived all the other apostles and a harsh exile, has died. Instead of thriving, something had happened to those early generations that had eroded their faith. What was it, and how can we, 2000 years later, avoid the same slippery slope of complacency and compromise? How can we rekindle our own faith and fervency for our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Can we learn from society and still influence it?Or will society only inform and influence us? Join us in this 10-week Bible Study to discover how we can Contend for the Faith. Each week contains 5 days of study material, including study questions and memory verses to help dig deeper into Scripture.
